Our outlook
We are all about seeing over the crowd of others and producing creative, juicy originality. This company is driven by minty-fresh modern ideas, having an effect on society and improving the beauty in everyday things. We deliver outside-the-box designs that are ahead of their time. Our main focus is to create printable artwork that makes both a statement and our clients feel good about wearing it. A quickly growing brand has been cultivated with our service that delivers a versatile, youthful style which has been successful for the clients we have worked with thus far.
What we do
We keep our business with clients helpful and productive, never losing sight of what the goal is: perfecting and polishing your product. We definitely encourage and appreciate suggestions on designs we create because it is ultimately for our clients. Afterwards, our clients share a connection with us because they were part of a custom creation that everybody enjoys. There are tons of people who can throw together clip-art to try to make a shirt, but not everyone can promise high-quality, professional graphic design for free. We respond quickly to our clients needs, deliver apparel in the closest likeness to our mock-ups, and provide quick turnaround as well.
Our designers
“Boundary-breaking” is a term most design firms wish they could claim. Our fully accredited designers collectively have produced over 4500 custom Damascus shirt designs since 2009 and that number continues to climb. Looking through our portfolio of actual printed apparel, it’s apparent that we are intensely passionate about the quality of design and how it affects the way people look and feel.
Damascus history & development
Wildly diverse, infused with exuberance, and inspired by a slap of the absurd, Damascus’s inarguable flavor grows from its roots in Southern California. From its inception in early 2009, Damascus Media has been accelerating to outer space. Beginning with little knowledge about printing apparel, only 5 digital mock-ups on a refurbished HP and an old black MacBook, founders Josh Lyon and Nate Khouli realized there was a huge void in the market that needed to be filled. Josh was President of the SDSU Finance and Investment Society enabling access to the college community. We quickly outgrew San Diego State University and looked to start reaching out to colleges all over California. Three years later, we now have clients all across the U.S. and with no plans to slow down. Our ability to powerhouse non-stop work and working remotely, away from client locations, supplies us with limitless opportunities for growth as our designs take the reins. This vision has only become clearer over the years as we continue to push the envelope and exceed expectations.
With 5 printers serving Damascus and over 75 combined years in the business, there is never a job that is out of reach. Deadlines are always met and prints are to perfection - we don’t settle for anything less. Our supplier network has become extremely varied and abundant, allowing us to always have the right trend and the right product at the right time. From 24 to 10,000 pieces, we have more flexibility than a Cirque du Soleil performer. We have an unstoppable passion for what we do, and won’t ever stop.
